Psalm 139:14 – "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
At Kirk Day School we believe that every child is created perfectly in the image of God. We recognize that our students have individually unique capabilities, interests and learning profiles. In considering the uniqueness of each child, it is our desire to provide a nurturing and affirming Christ-centered environment that offers academic excellence for all of our learners, including those who need to be academically challenged and those who may struggle through the learning process.
Our programs encourage development of the students’ spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs. A strong academic foundation is provided by classroom teachers who are passionate about teaching the Bible, reading, writing, math, history, and science. Their instruction is further enriched with classes in vocal and instrumental music, art, physical education, foreign language, and library skills. All subjects are purposefully framed in biblical truth and challenge students to use their God-given abilities to glorify Him.
Through its curricula, KDS is committed to strive for and maintain the rigorous accreditation standards set forth by the AdvancedEd/North Central Association and Christian Schools International (CSI). Student progress in meeting these standards is provided through the Education Research Bureau (ERB). Aligned to challenging curriculum and learning standards these annual assessments allow us to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our academic preparation.
The faculty at KDS is committed to ensure that our students are engaged in the learning process at every level. Highly qualified and experienced teachers use proven curricula and instructional methods suited for varied learning styles. They keep up with current practice through research, annual curriculum reviews and ongoing professional development.
We invite you to see visit our classrooms to experience academic excellence with a Biblical worldview in the context of a warm and diverse learning community in which each individual is taught with affirmation and respect for his or her unique abilities.
