Non-Cash Donations

Non-cash donations of appreciated financial assets can benefit you as well as Kirk Day School. You may take advantage of stock or bond market gains, if any. A gift of stock (or other appreciated assets) entitles you to a tax deduction for the market value of the donated stock (not just your cost basis). If donated stock has been held for more than one year, you can avoid capital gains tax on any appreciation of the security by donating it rather than donating the cash from the sale of the asset. Matching Gifts

Many companies sponsor philanthropic programs that match charitable giving made by employees and their spouses, as well as their retirees. Matching gifts from corporations are a prudent way to double or even triple your gift to Kirk Day School. To elicit matching gift funds, please contact your employer and request a matching gift form to send with your donation.

Memorials & Tributes

A memorial or tribute to Kirk Day School is a heartfelt way to honor a friend or loved one, while concurrently supporting the mission of our school. A tribute can be a special gift appropriate for many occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations. A gift to honor the memory of someone touched by the Kirk Day School community keeps his or her memory alive and pays respect to his or her legacy.  When a memorial or tribute gift is received, a note is sent to the honoree or, in the case of a memorial, the family of the honoree, telling them of your thoughtfulness. Cash and check donations to Kirk Day School will be recorded in calendar year 2023

1. if received at Kirk Day School by December 31, 2023.

* Please note that the KDS Offices are closed December 16, 2023 - January 4, 2024.

2. if received by mail and postmarked no later than December 31, 2023.

3. if given by credit card or ACH through the Kirk Day School website and charged to your account by 11:59 p.m., December 31, 2023.

Non-Cash Donations

Ditto

Ditto is an upscale resale store founded and operated by the Christian School Association of St. Louis (CSASL). 90% of the profits at Ditto go toward tuition remission at Kirk Day School and the other founding schools. Ditto depends upon volunteers from these schools to operate. Kirk Day School is responsible for suppling Ditto with these essential volunteers one week per quarter.  These volunteer hours translate into direct profit for KDS resulting in $600 earned specifically for KDS during every two hour volunteer shift!
